High school students are offered two foreign languages. English and Social Studies, Math and Science classes are scheduled back to back to encourage interdisciplinary activities. Science classes and labs are scheduled similarly. The district has committed to a schedule that provides Academic Intervention Services for all students during the school day.

The scheduling of elementary classes allows for a ninety (90) minute block of uninterrupted time daily for English Language Arts.

The 42-45 teachers participate in staff development opportunities, through both in-house and out of building workshops and conferences.

The district has recently completed a building project has added additional classroom space, new science labs, a multipurpose performing arts center, new cafeteria, and gym. In addition, both the high school and elementary libraries have been renovated as well as administrative, guidance and nursing care service areas. The district houses an School Based Health Zone sponsored by Bassett.
