PARKING RULES
and Student Drop-off/Pick-up rules
2010-2011

 
Parking:
Parking for staff will be in the main and/or the back parking lot.
There should be parking available for parents and visitors in these two lots as well.
Student Parking:
Student parking will be allowed in the back lot only. If there is no space, students will be required to park on the street and are therefore encouraged to ride the bus.
Parking on Brook Street:
Please note that the opening in the gate will be closed and locked. Due to liability concerns, we have been asked to close the opening in the gate permanently. Individuals parking on Brook Street will no longer be allowed to use the cut through to the school. DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF OR ON THE SIDE OF JP’S.

Bus Loop and Parent Drop off: (Beginning and End of the Day Only)
Parents will be allowed to drive into the main lot to drop off students. You will be asked to enter the front of the lot, drop your children off at the entrance on the SIDE of the school and drive out
the back lot. Drop students off at the primary door used last year. The doors will be locked at approximately 8:05. After 8:05 you will be required to use the front door of the building.
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR LEAVE THE LOT WHEN BUSES ARE LOADING OR UNLOADING. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PARENTS DROP OFF STUDENTS AT THE CROSSING GUARD.

Parent Pickup/Drop-off DURING the school day:
Parents are REQUIRED to use the front entrance to the school DURING the school day. During the day you will sign your child in or out of the building at the main office. All other doors to the building will be locked during the day.

Parent Pickup at the END of the School day:
At the end of the school day, parents who personally pick their children up from school are asked to meet their child at the SIDE entrance of the school. The doors will be unlocked at 2:30. Please remember, you will not be allowed to drive your car into or out of the parking lot when the buses are loading or unloading. If you are driving a car you will need to arrive before the buses and wait until after the buses leave.
Reminder
The opening in the fence that previously allowed individuals to walk from Brook Street,
across the driveway or lawn of our neighbors has been closed due to liability concerns.
Please use the sidewalks.
 
Parking for Basketball Games and Events

Please remember that when attending basketball games, or any event in the school, all vechicles are to be parked in the main parking lot.  If there are no available spaces, please park on the street.


I would just like to make everyone aware that there is to be no one parking in front of the loading dock out back at any time.

We have deliveries out there all weekend and at night and the delivery people need to use it. Also that is an access drive for emergency vehicles and needs to be kept clear at all times.
